Shares of Chinese robotics‑component suppliers climbed after a local report said Tesla Inc. teams had arrived in the country to audit suppliers and place additional orders to boost production of its Optimus humanoid model.
According to ChainCatcher, Tesla's team arrived in Ningbo on September 16th and launched a new round of mass production audits for its robotics business on September 17th. This audit aims to verify the exclusivity and consistency of the Optimus robot's mass production, with plans to roll out approximately 50,000 Optimus robots by 2026.
