  • On Wednesday, September 23, Tesco launched nationwide grocery delivery through Deliveroo, making items available in as little as 20 minutes across 75 towns and cities.
  • The expansion follows a successful trial across 147 Tesco stores, building on momentum from the supermarket's Whoosh rapid delivery service, which saw sales increase 51% last year.
  • Ishna Berry, Rapid Delivery Director at Tesco, said the move gives customers "more flexibility than ever," offering access to Clubcard Prices and points on last-minute purchases.
  • Rob Harris, chief revenue officer at Deliveroo, said the firm is "delighted" to take the partnership nationwide, as customers value the speed and quality Tesco offers.
  • The Whoosh service currently reaches more than 70% of the population from around 1,800 stores, providing another avenue for rapid grocery shopping alongside the new Deliveroo option.
