Tesco announces major change to grocery delivery slots ahead of summer holidays
Tesco is giving shoppers eight weeks to book summer delivery and collection slots, with same-day service free at selected stores until 6 September.
- Tesco is expanding its online grocery booking window to eight weeks for the Summer, allowing shoppers to secure delivery and Click+Collect slots weeks earlier than normal.
- Normally, customers can only book grocery slots four weeks ahead. Rob Graham, Tesco Online Director, said the extended window aims to help shoppers "get organised and plan ahead."
- Priority customers can begin booking slots on July 14, while General bookings open on July 21, with Tesco removing extra charges on Same-day Home Delivery and Click+Collect until September 6.
- For holidaymakers, Tesco increased Click+Collect availability near popular destinations, while Whoosh rapid grocery delivery remains available in selected areas from as little as 20 minutes.
- Regular shoppers can consider Delivery Saver plans to reduce costs, with subscriptions starting from £2.49 a month for 6 or 12 months.
