Terry Yorath funeral to be held in Leeds for Wales footballer
Terry Yorath, who captained Wales 42 times and won the 1974 First Division with Leeds, was honored by football legends and family at his Leeds funeral.
- On Monday the funeral for Terry Yorath was held at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Moortown, with his casket carried in before the service and out to 'You'll Never Walk Alone'.
- A long-serving figure in British football, Yorath was integral to Don Revie's Leeds side that won the First Division in 1974 and later played for Coventry, Tottenham, Vancouver Whitecaps, Bradford and Swansea before managing Swansea, Cardiff, Bradford, Sheffield Wednesday and Wales.
- The ceremony opened with a eulogy from Elis James and closed with Jordan's tribute, while Kenny and Reuben carried the coffin and Paloma and Phoenix led prayers.
- Several famous faces from football and television attended, including Chris Coleman, Ian Rush, Chris Kamara, Stuart McCall, and Don Goodman, while Lois Logan performed `Jerusalem` and Gabby Logan was present with family members.
- Jordan recalled that `Just days after Daniel was buried, he was back in a tracksuit managing Wales, which he later regretted`, as mourners heard Yorath was 'ravaged by grief' after his son's 1992 death and a former Scotland rugby international tapped the coffin.
