The annual beach cleanup campaign to combat litter concludes today with a closing ceremony in Zandvoort. Over the past two weeks, thousands of volunteers, many of whom are young, have participated in thirty stages of the cleanup along the North Sea coast. So far, thousands of kilos of trash and tens of thousands of cigarette butts have been removed.
