Loro Parque has received two tiger specimens from Sumatra (Panthera tigris sumatrae), the most threatened tiger subspecies on the planet. It is Zaza, a two-year-old female, and Lucu, an eight-year-old male, from different zoos in the United Kingdom, who now form a new pair under the European Threatened Species Program (EEP) of the European Association of Zoos and Aquariums (EAZA).The formation of this couple is not the result of chance.
