The Forth Road Bridge outside of Edinburgh was closed after Greenpeace activists suspended themselves from the structure in order to block a tanker.
Forth Road Bridge, 26 Jul. (askanews) - An international group of Greenpeace activists descended with ropes from the Forth Road Bridge bridge in Scotland, near Queensferry, to prevent with their own body the passage of a tanker from Ineos that has to deliver its cargo of American gas, obtained by fracking, to the petrochemical plant in Grangemouth.
The activists stopped off the floor at 25 metres above the water, preventing an INEOS oil company from delivering gas for 24 hours.
