French presenter Yann Barthès (51) is under fire. In his talk show 'Quotidien', he mocked people who have to brave the heatwave in poorly insulated penthouse apartments. Both viewers and French politicians call his statements "scandalous" and "out of touch with reality". But instead of offering an apology, the presenter went even further.
The presenter, known for his caustic humour, said that "everyone" was "fouling" to hear these ill-housed witnesses, believing that all the French suffered in the same way from the heat.
The humorous column of the presenter, broadcast on Tuesday, June 23, sparked a wave of comments and reactions, and because of this, he is heavily misleading.
