Telemundo Launches Sports FAST Channel As Part Of Digital Expansion Strategy
Deportes Ahora launches with over 50 hours of weekly original Spanish-language sports content to serve 32 million bilingual Latinos ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
- On Aug. 14, Telemundo Deportes launched its new 24/7 Spanish-language sports FAST channel, Deportes Ahora, on Peacock, Xumo Play, NBC News FAST Hub and Telemundo.com.
- Telemundo estimates that 32 million bilingual Latinos ages 18 to 49 are driving demand for free, on-demand sports content, with the 2026 FIFA World Cup approaching.
- Featuring over 50 hours of weekly content, Telemundo Deportes Ahora will premiere new live studio shows exclusively for the channel, including original programming and select sporting events.
- As part of its FAST lineup, Deportes Ahora joins established channels and provides Hispanic audiences another way to connect with sports, Telemundo executive vice president Joaquín Duro said.
- Looking ahead, Deportes Ahora unveils a lineup of three daily studio shows including Telemundo Deportes Al Día at 1 p.m. ET, Puesta a Punto at 6 p.m. ET and El Pelotazo Ahora at 11 p.m. ET, with expansion on additional platforms over the coming months.
