- Deducted funds go directly to parents, while the Senior Citizen Commission handles appeals against The Collector. This commission possesses quasi-judicial powers to conduct inquiries, summon witnesses, and impose penalties for non-compliance.
- Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy defended the measure, stating, "The rights of parents should be protected by goodwill." He added that the legislation ensures the law supports parents when their children neglect them.
