The Telangana state government is taking a crucial step for the gig and platform workers (delivery boys) who work day and night in Hyderabad and contribute to the city's economy.
The state government has signed an agreement with leading quick commerce company Zepto. An MoU has been signed to set up 5 Pragati Centers in Hyderabad. These centers will provide rest to gig workers working in food delivery, e-commerce and other delivery networks during working hours. Each Pragati Center will provide facilities like resting place, drinking water, toilets, basic medical facilities, mobile charging points and WiFi connectivity.
