- On Wednesday, Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy laid the foundation stone for an Amazon Web Services data center in Bharat Future City, following a framework agreement signed during the Telangana Rising Global Summit 2025.
- Amazon Web Services' commitment includes over $21 billion for Indian cloud infrastructure through 2030, part of a broader $48 billion investment across India's businesses.
- Spanning 202 acres in Bharat Future City and 98 acres in Chandanvelly, the project features an "integrated smart city grounded in Net Zero principles" with a dedicated "AI City" for Artificial Intelligence innovation.
- Reddy established monthly reviews with Government advisor K. Ramakrishna Rao to expedite clearances, positioning Amazon as the anchor industry to attract Fortune 500 companies to Bharat Future City.
- AWS continues workforce development through its Amazon Data Centre Skilling Program, which has trained 250 local students, supporting Telangana's strategy to contribute to India's goal of becoming a $3 trillion economy by 2047.
