- Held annually at the University of Oregon's Hayward Field, the Prefontaine Classic serves as the only U.S. stop on the international Diamond League tour and is named after track star Steve Prefontaine.
- Nigerian Kayinsola Ajayi surged at the midway point to overtake Jamaican Oblique Seville and American Christian Coleman, finishing the men's 100 in 9.84 seconds.
- Melissa Jefferson-Wooden won the women's 100 in 10.78 seconds, while Olympic gold medalist Masai Russell claimed the 100 hurdles in a meet-record 12.24 against world record holder Tobi Amusan.
- American Nikki Hiltz won the mile in 4:17.49, defeating Kenyan Faith Kipyegon, while Lithuanian Mykolas Alekna secured the discus with a 233-1 throw and Tara Davis-Woodhall won the long jump with a 23-4 leap.
