Boy, 13, Taken to Hospital After Being Struck by LRT in North York
The boy was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, and TTC service resumed after shuttle buses covered the affected route, police said.
On Friday afternoon, a 13-year-old boy was struck by an LRT vehicle in North York near the intersection of Finch Avenue West and Driftwood Avenue shortly before 3:20 p.m.
Emergency responders transported the teen to the hospital following the collision. Police confirmed the victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries, though no other details were immediately provided.
The Toronto Transit Commission suspended service between Finch Avenue West and Norfinch-Oakdale stations "due to an injury on track." The agency deployed shuttle buses to manage the disruption.
Regular LRT service has since resumed and area roads have reopened to traffic. Operations returned to normal following the emergency response.
