Police arrested a driver accused of hitting a 16-year-old cyclist on her way to school and fleeing the scene Wednesday, Aug. 6 in Fontana. Officers responded around 7:30 a.m. to Cherry and Walnut avenues, where a white Ford Ranger hit the cyclist who was on her way to Etiwanda High School, according to Officer Daniel Romero with the Fontana Police Department.
