The Miguel Hernández de Elche University (UMH) presented the results of the Biotech-Rice and Straw4Footwear projects, which demonstrate the technical, economic and social viability of the use of rice straw in footwear and cosmetics, at the conference From the Problem to Possible Solutions. Both projects are led by the researcher of the Elche Institute for Research, Development and Innovation in Sanitary Biotechnology (IDiBE), Enrique Barrajón.
