- On Friday, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, the Ooni of Ife, announced that his wife, Olori Mariam Ajibola Ogunwusi, safely delivered twin princes, bringing joy to the House of Oduduwa.
- Four years after their 2022 marriage ceremony, Olori Mariam, an Ebira woman from Kogi State with family ties to Kwara State, delivered the twins 10 months after the Ooni's former wife, Naomi Silekunola, departed.
- Otunba Moses Olafare, the Director of Media and Public Affairs at the Palace, issued a statement Friday expressing the Ooni's gratitude to Almighty Olodumare for the successful delivery and the health of both mother and children.
- "He appreciated everyone who has continued to support the palace with prayers, love, and goodwill, noting that the moment calls for thanksgiving and celebration," the Ooni stated, expressing happiness over the family's mercy and favour.
- Praying for the newborn princes, the Ooni said they would grow in sound health, wisdom, and greatness, "becoming worthy ambassadors of the rich cultural heritage of Ile-Ife" and the Yoruba race.
