Central Bank Governor Karahan Will Maintain Tight Monetary Policy Until Price Stability Is Achieved.
Central Bank Governor Fatih Karahan stated that they will maintain a tight monetary policy until price stability is achieved and will be cautious in disinflation. In September, annual inflation fell to 29.7 percent, while the baseline trend declined to 23.7 percent.
“As the impact of shocks subsides, we think disinfestation will regain momentum with our tight monetary policy stance,” Central Bank President Fatih Karahan said at the World Investor Week summit.
