TCL's QM9K Mini-LED TV Is Super Bright and Has Google Gemini Onboard

TCL unveiled its new flagship mini-LED TV, the QM9K, on September 4, 2025, in Irvine, California, promising unmatched picture quality and Google Gemini AI onboard.
TCL introduced the QM9K to join its Ultimate Series alongside the QM8K, aiming to showcase continuous innovation with enhanced brightness, dimming zones, and AI features.
The QM9K features a 65- to 98-inch CrystGlow WHVA panel with ZeroBorder design, up to 6,000 dimming zones, 6,500 nits peak brightness, Dolby Atmos speakers, and a presence sensor for Ambient Display.
Scott Ramirez highlighted that the QM9K surpasses the QM8K by offering a 30% improvement in maximum brightness and increasing the number of dimming zones by 57%, while the inclusion of Gemini introduces a more natural and conversational way to access content and information.
TCL plans to release the QM9K through Best Buy and select retailers later this month without announcing pricing yet, marking the industry’s first Google TV device with Gemini and presence sensing.
