The harvest of Tayfi grapes, a registered local delicacy, has begun in the Şirvan district of Siirt. Siirt Governor Kemal Kızılkaya stated that 45,261 tons of grapes are produced in the city, and announced the goal of becoming one of the top 5 grape producing provinces in Turkey. It was also noted that the leaves of the Tayfi grapes are exported to Austria.
