The Okinawa General Affairs Bureau announced on the 10th that it will revise taxi fares in the Okinawa main island area, raising the initial fare for standard cars from 600 yen for 1.75 kilometers to 650 yen for 1.65 kilometers. Additional fares will also be increased from 100 yen for 400 meters to 100 yen for 350 meters. These changes will take effect from August 24th.
