TERREBONNE - Tatiana Auguste is returning to the House of Commons after winning a hotly contested byelection for the Liberals in the Quebec riding of Terrebonne.
The voters in Terrebonne will have been held in suspense until the very end, but it was the liberal Tatiana Auguste who finally had the last word.
Following the annulment of her victory of April 28, 2025 by the Supreme Court, due to an error attributed to Elections Canada, Ms. Auguste was finally elected Monday with 48.4% of the vote, according to the official data of the organization. As a Liberal candidate, Tatiana Auguste returned to the House of Commons, winning for a second time the seat of a Member of Parliament after a particularly tight race.
