The reigning Estonian basketball champion, Tartu University Maks & Moorits, had to admit defeat to the Polish club Warsaw Dziki 103:76 in the opening game of the FIBA Europe Cup group stage at home.
The reigning national champion team Tartu University Maks & Moorits was the first Estonian club to take the stage at the main tournament of the FIBA Europe Cup. In the match held at home, the Tartu team had to admit a 27-point advantage over Warsaw's Dziki.
The University of Tartu Maks & Mooritsa team lost to Warsaw Dzik 76:103 at home to start the Euro Series. Head coach Aivar Kuusmaa highlighted the high class of his opponents, but also stated that his team had a completely different start in certain aspects.
