A middle-aged man stole a bicycle from a schoolboy who had gone to buy pastries in Tartu. The thief was caught on several surveillance cameras, but the police were unable to catch him. “When it comes to video recordings, you have to remember that they do not contain registry data that would allow the thief to be identified, such as name and date of birth,” explains Taivo Rosi, group leader of the Tartu police department’s procedural department.
