Target of Monaco Bomb Alleges HUR Involvement
Yermolaiev says the attack involved serving intelligence officers and left his partner and son injured, while investigators later linked two arrests to the killing of the suspect.
- On June 29, an explosive device detonated at the Monaco home of Ukrainian-Cypriot businessman Vadym Yermolaiev, injuring him, his partner, and their 13-year-old son.
- Investigators identified Ukrainian national Anastasia Berezovska as the primary suspect after surveillance footage captured her monitoring the victims and placing a backpack containing explosives at their entrance.
- Berezovska was found dead near Kyiv on July 7, prompting authorities to arrest Vladyslav Reut, a Defense Intelligence officer, and Vitaliy Shykovych, a former Security Service member.
- Yermolaiev alleged that GUR officers organized the attack, but GUR representative Andriy Yusov rejected the accusations, calling them subjective "political statements" that harm the investigation.
- Ukraine's Prosecutor General's Office is forming a joint international investigative team to address the case, while Yermolaiev demands protection for his family, lawyers, and witnesses until those responsible are held accountable.

New video shows Monaco parcel bomb blast attack on Ukrainian tycoon
Ukrainian officials have released footage they say shows the bomb attack on a Ukrainian tycoon in Monaco. If the motive for this attack on Monegasque soil is still unclear, the investigation is proceeding on the Ukrainian side. After the arrest of two suspects, the Public Prosecutor's Office unveiled the video of the explosion of 29 June. A video that was certainly to be used to prove that the act had been committed.
The Ukrainian police managed to recover the deleted footage. The perpetrator had recorded it to prove that the attack had been carried out.
The images were captured by a local security camera and the suspect was found lifeless.
