[WHO-AFRO] Geneva -- Professor Mohamed Yakub Janabi was today nominated as the next Regional Director of the World Health Organization (WHO) African Region during a Special Session of the WHO Regional Committee for Africa held in Geneva ahead of the World Health Assembly.

At a special session of the Regional Committee, held in Geneva on the eve of the 77th World Health Assembly, Professor Mohamed Yakub Janabi was chosen to act as the new phase of UN health action in Africa.
