- On Nov. 25, Iowa State announced that Tamin Lipsey will miss the Cyclones men's basketball team game against Creighton at 1 p.m. CT during the Players Era Festival in Las Vegas.
- Against St. John's on Monday, Tamin Lipsey injured his groin with 2:09 remaining in Iowa State's 83-82 win and did not return.
- About two hours before tip-off, CBS Sports insider Jon Rothstein reported Lipsey would be a game-time decision, but at warmups he was in street clothes and ruled out for Tuesday.
- Iowa State could start veteran Nate Heise in the backcourt, as Heise contributed off the bench in the St. John's game and the Cyclones extended their fourth straight win.
