- Backing the motion, Congress leader Rakesh Kumar, VCK leader and Minister Vanniarasu, LoP Udhyanidhi Stalin, and AIADMK leader Edappadi K Palaniswami urged the Central Water Commission not to process Karnataka's Detailed Project Report.
- This unanimous support reflects Tamil Nadu's commitment to safeguarding farmers' interests, reinforcing the state's demand that no new water storage projects proceed without concurrence from basin states.
