The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, headed by former Minister Péter Szijjártó, a close ally of Viktor Orbán, paid above-market prices for ventilators during the COVID-19 pandemic. This information was provided by the current Secretary of State at the Hungarian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, György László Velkey.
"A message came from above that you cannot share such data with each other because it will get out and then there will be a scandal," said the Parliamentary State Secretary of the Ministry of Health.
