Talos Adds Kalshi Trading as Prediction Markets Surge
Talos will give hedge funds and market makers access to Kalshi contracts through its trading system as prediction markets draw record volume.
On Wednesday, July 22, 2026, trading technology provider Talos integrated Kalshi's event contracts into its infrastructure, allowing institutional clients to access regulated prediction markets alongside crypto perpetuals.
CoinGecko reported notional trading volume reached $113.8 billion in the second quarter, up 48.7%, while Kalshi expanded its market share to 58.9% from 42.4% in the first quarter.
Talos now offers algorithmic order types including Iceberg, TWAP, and POV for multi-leg execution, while Polymarket holds 30.2% market share and the Robinhood and Susquehanna International Group-backed Rothera reached $2.1 billion in volume.
Despite rapid growth, the industry faces scrutiny over potential insider trading as Kalshi battles United States state regulators over whether sports event contracts constitute illegal gambling, a dispute that could reach the Supreme Court.
Last week, a White House employee allegedly made more than $100,000 betting on President Donald Trump's speeches; later this year, Talos plans to extend dealer software to brokers, allowing direct customer access to Kalshi contracts.
