Tallink Group had a difficult year, according to Paavo Nõgene, Chairman of the Board: consolidated turnover fell by 20 million euros to 756 million euros and cargo volume decreased by a fifth, due to difficult times in the Estonian, Finnish and Swedish economies. Viking Line, on the other hand, managed to slightly increase both sales revenue and net profit.
The shipping company invested in Silja Serenade and extensively renovated the passenger facilities of the Baltic Princess, which operates from Turku.
