Kyoto University announced on the 16th that, following the selection committee's review following the expiration of President Nagahiro Minato's (75) term, Vice President Yasuhito Tachikawa (62) has been chosen as the next president. His term will be six years, from October 1st to September 30th, 2032. He is from Ogaki City, Gifu Prefecture. He graduated from the Faculty of Engineering at Kyoto University in 1987. His specialty is earthworks.
