MANILA, Philippines — Taal Volcano in Batangas released 3,568 tons of sulfur dioxide on Friday, according to the 24-hour monitoring of the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs). This is slightly less than the 4,463 tons of sulfur dioxide emitted a day before.
