Syrian Foreign Minister Asad al-Shaibani stressed the need for an urgent lifting of sanctions imposed on Syria due to the crimes of the ousted regime of Bashar al-Assad, because, as he stated, these sanctions would increase the suffering of Syrians, worsen the economic crisis and jeopardize the possibility of building the foundations necessary for achieving lasting peace.
