Interim Syrian President Ahmad Shaara received the credentials of the new Czech ambassador to Syria, Vítězslav Pivoňka, on Wednesday during a ceremony at the presidential palace in Damascus, state news agency SANA reported.
Minister Francisco Pérez Mackenna spoke of "a promising future" with the neighboring country. "If the neighborhood improves, we all win," he said.
