Synopsys Launches Electronics Digital Twin Platform to Accelerate Physical Ai System Development
The platform enables automotive OEMs to validate up to 90% of software before hardware availability, reducing development costs and accelerating time-to-market, Synopsys said.
- In Sunnyvale, Synopsys launched the Synopsys Electronics Digital Twin Platform, describing it as a first-of-its-kind open solution for automotive software validation.
- Designed to shift validation earlier, the Electronics Digital Twin Platform enables OEMs to achieve up to 90% of software validation prior to hardware availability, said Synopsys.
- Pre-Integrated tools include Arm Zena CSS virtual platform in Synopsys Virtualizer and system composition via Vector's open-source SIL Kit, with cloud deployment in eDT Labs.
- Synopsys will showcase the eDT Platform at Embedded World 2026 and CEO Sassine Ghazi will deliver a livestreamed keynote for Synopsys Converge on March 11, according to the company.
- Amid mounting software complexity, said Ravi Subramanian, automotive engineering teams are at their breaking point with over 600 million lines of software, and AWS noted validation once required years.
