Sylvester Stallone confirms return for John Rambo prequel
- Lionsgate said Monday that Sylvester Stallone will executive produce John Rambo, an origin-story about the character he first played in 1982's First Blood.
- After Lionsgate's rights deal last November with Millennium, Adam Fogelson said Sylvester Stallone's participation is the final, critical piece to John Rambo, capping a partnership spanning more than 20 years.
- Directed by Jalmari Helander with a script by Rory Haines and Sohrab Noshirvani, John Rambo is filming in Bangkok, Thailand, starring Noah Centineo with Yao, Jason Tobin, Quincy Isaiah, Jefferson White and Tayme Thapthimthong.
