Telekom Group Swisscom is struggling with dwindling sales. Now it wants to provide even more IT services abroad.
After Riga and Rotterdam, Swisscom intends to build a third Nearshoring site in Lisbon. In the medium term, some 200 people could be employed there. The project is highly criticised by the trade union organisation Syndicom.
Swisscom Switzerland announced that it will open a new unit in Lisbon, joining the existing locations in Riga and Rotterdam, with operations starting already next year with 40 people.
