Russian antiwar party Yabloko removed from Kaliningrad and Sverdlovsk region elections in latest wave of court rulings
A court in Russia’s Sverdlovsk region has sided with LDPR in a lawsuit, revoking Yabloko’s list for the region’s legislative assembly election, Yabloko’s press service said on August 28.
Russian Justice today revoked the registration of the list of candidates of the Yabloko anti-war party for the elections to the regional assembly of Sverdlovsk (Urais), as happened for the legislative elections in September.
It is the fifth region in which justice manages to cancel the registration of its candidates by lists, which it also achieved in Leningrad, Karelia, Pskov and the municipality of St. Petersburg.
