Police Investigating After Two Found Dead in Keene Home
Officials said the 70-year-old woman and 72-year-old man were found with gunshot wounds, and autopsies are scheduled for Wednesday.
On Tuesday, investigators discovered the bodies of a 70-year-old woman and her 72-year-old husband inside their Hurricane Road home in Keene, with the New Hampshire Attorney General's Office investigating the incident as a potential murder-suicide.
Police responded shortly after 11 a.m. Tuesday to conduct a welfare check at the residence, where both individuals appeared to have suffered gunshot wounds, according to officials.
The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner scheduled autopsies for Wednesday in Concord to determine the cause of death, though authorities have not yet released the identities of the couple.
Officials confirmed there is no known threat to the public, while the case remains under investigation with investigators working to gather additional information.
Police stated no other details are being released at this time, though they will share more information when it becomes available as the investigation continues.
