Suspension of Three Forest Fires Remained Silent in the Aveiro Court

Fires occurred on 16 August 2023 and on 8 and 15 September 2024. Argument is accused of three forest fire crimes, which has already been punished by the same type of crime.

“The chronic health effects, although less frequently studied, are significant; for example, long-term exposure to particulates from forest fires has been associated with increased mortality in Portugal, where between 31 and 189 deaths have been attributed to forest fires between 2015 and 2018”, says the report of the Scientific Council of European Academies (EASAC), prepared by 23 experts from the European Union.
