Suspect uses bike helmet and patio furniture in struggle with Saskatoon police officer

A 44-year-old Saskatoon man was charged with assault on a police officer, assault on a officer with intent to resist, and assault with a weapon.

Saskatoon man, 44, allegedly attacks bike cop during arrest

Police said the man refused to comply with the officer’s commands, and punched the officer in the head. The man then “forcefully removed the officer’s bike helmet and began striking him with it.”
