EAST HOLLYWOOD, LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA, JUL 19 – Ramirez, on parole and intoxicated, deliberately drove into nightclub crowd injuring 36, with seven critically hurt, police said. He was later shot and faces assault charges.
- Early Saturday at the Vermont Hollywood, a driver rammed his vehicle into pedestrians, injuring more than 30 people, LAPD said.
- Orange County prosecutors on Monday said Fernando Ramirez has faced 11 criminal cases since 2014, and he was on parole when he carried out the attack.
- Amid the chaos, a bystander pulled Ramirez out of the vehicle, and he was shot in the lower back, Officer Norma Eisenman said.
- Meanwhile, officials continue to search for the Unidentified gunman who shot Ramirez and remains at large, while at least 36 people suffered injuries, LAPD reported.
- Organizers said tickets will be honored at an August makeup date, and they urged the public to call LAPD’s Rampart station with tips.
