Suspect in custody after shooting on University of New Mexico campus leaves 1 dead
- In Albuquerque, a dorm room shooting on Friday left a 14-year-old boy dead and a 19-year-old man wounded, according to New Mexico State Police.
- Responding to an alarm at Mesa Vista Hall around 1:36 a.m. Friday, officers discovered broken windows and later learned four people were inside when shots were fired.
- New Mexico State Police said, 18-year-old John Fuentes was taken into custody during a traffic stop in Los Lunas, 25 miles south of Albuquerque.
- New Mexico State Police said its Investigations Bureau continues probing the motive behind the shooting, and officials will share updates on air and online.
