- Serving as executive producer, Probst shared the news via Instagram on Thursday, writing that the project will "bring Survivor to the big screen in a completely new way."
- Paramount Animation is developing the film with partners Banijay, Amazon MGM, and CBS, overseen by department president Jennifer Dodge, who recently announced Christmas film The Naughty List.
- Since premiering in 2000, the franchise recently concluded its landmark Season 50 and has been renewed for Season 51, titled Survivor 51: The Open Era, marking continued expansion.
