CDU, CSU and SPD started their coalition negotiations. The delegations of the parties met last night at the CDU party headquarters in Berlin, in the Konrad-Adenauer-Haus. They are to work out a contract in 16 working groups.

Germany's CDU/CSU and SPD kicked off the next intensive phase of coalition negotiations on Friday. But though the parties have already set out broad plans for a future government, a number of questions remain.

The coalition negotiations between the Union and the SPD have begun. The 19 main negotiators met in the evening at the Konrad-Adenauer-Haus in Berlin. Now the working groups have ten days to draft text proposals for the coalition agreement.
