Retired Major General Suresh Sallay, former Director of the State Intelligence Service (SIS), is expected to be discharged from the National Hospital in Colombo this afternoon (October 6) and returned to the custody of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID).

A ten-member medical committee of doctors from the National Hospital Colombo informed Colombo Fort Magistrate Pasan Amarasena that former Director of the State Intelligence Service, retired Major General Suresh Salley, could be discharged from the hospital.
