- Using a public appeal, Gopi urged that `I am saying here with sincerity that Sadanandan Master should be made a minister after removing me` and prayed for Kerala's representation to soon upgrade Master’s MP office.
- Having joined the BJP in October 2016, Gopi won Thrissur Lok Sabha constituency in the 2024 Lok Sabha polls by over 70,000 votes and was appointed Minister of State on June 9, 2024.
