The Supreme Court allowed Hindu and Muslim prayers with distinct time slots and mandated law enforcement to ensure peaceful worship at the disputed 11th-century Bhojshala-Kamal Maula site.
- The Supreme Court led by Chief Justice of India Surya Kant permitted Hindu prayers from sunrise to sunset and Muslim namaz from 1 pm to 3 pm at Bhojshala on Basant Panchami .
- Because Basant Panchami coincides with Friday namaz this year, the Hindu Front for Justice cited the April 7, 2003 ASI arrangement allowing Hindus puja on Tuesdays and Muslims namaz on Fridays at the disputed Bhojshala–Kamal Maula complex.
- The court ordered separate ingress and an exclusive area for namaz between 1 pm and 3 pm, directed the district administration, Dhar district to issue passes or collect visitor lists, and asked the High Court to unseal and share the ASI survey with parties.
- The bench ordered maintenance of status quo and asked the Madhya Pradesh High Court division bench to take up the matter within 3 weeks, urging mutual respect from parties.
- High Court orders from March 11, 2024 launched the Archaeological Survey of India scientific survey, and the Supreme Court interim order on April 1, 2024 allowed the survey but prohibited physical excavation.
