- During that six-day period, Chohan was illegally detained at JIC Kupwara, subjected to inhuman and degrading torture including mutilation of private parts.
- The bench of Justices Vikram Nath and Sandeep Mehta ordered arrests within one month, directing the CBI to finish its probe within three months.
- The Court set aside the FIR under Section 309 IPC, saying its continuation would be a travesty of justice.
- The Bench instructed the CBI to submit a status report by November 10, 2025, and probe systemic failings at JIC Kupwara.
